Five Nights at Freddy's 2 marketing push (and that first trailer) to begin next week ahead of 2025 release date
Freddy Fazbear is sick of you asking for when the sequel trailer will appear, so he's saying when the hype train begins

2025 is the year that moviegoers return to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, the setting of the massive game franchise turned (bigger?) movie franchise, Five Nights at Freddy's. News of the sequel to the first film, which came out in 2023, has been a heavily requested but rarely unveiled, with the exceptions being that Five Nights at Freddy's 2 will be, like its predecessor, produced by horror studio Blumhouse, and that the release date for the film is December 5, 2025. Now, however, a new slice has come off the proverbial pie.
Jason Blum, head of Blumhouse himself, has taken to social media to announced the date the Five Night's at Freddy's 2 marketing push - and that evitable first trailer - will begin.
That is, April 2.
In Blum's announcement, which you can watch here on Instagram, a series of increasingly desperate pleas from social media requesting the release of more Five Nights at Freddy's 2 news. As music builds, we're suddenly confronted by text similar to an analog clock face reads "1 week." Then, appropriate for a franchise built on jumpscares, we ware walloped by an incoming image of Freddy Fazbear's face, pixelated as though in a classic arcade game.
And just so you don't think our math is wrong - the social media post was released on Blum's Instagram March 26. Add a week to that and your get our prediction.
Besides being a piece of news you can expect to see here at Popverse, the Five Nights at Freddy's 2 marketing will mark the beginning of Blumhouse's return to one of their most successful horror franchises to date. If you'll recall, the second film was confirmed barely two months after the first, which made $297M at the box office. With numbers like that, you can expect Blumhouse to put their all into the next installment.
In other words, you'll certainly be getting your wish, desperate fans at the beginning of this tease. And then some.
Five Nights at Freddy's 2 jumpscares its way into theaters December 5, 2025.
