Michael Rooker has a special target when he goes out on the shooting range: action figures of his characters from Guardians of the Galaxy and The Walking Dead
To be fair, Merle and Yondu are probably used to having people open fire on them.

Yondu is a space pirate from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. Merle Dixon is a rogue trying to make his way through The Walking Dead’s zombie apocalypse. Both men were played by Michael Rooker. Both men have also had their heads blown off by Michael Rooker.
Some actors collect action figures of their characters. Michael Rooker likes to shoot them. During a spotlight panel at Indiana Comic Convention 2024, Rooker told the crowd about his hobby.
“I like shooting really tiny little things. Really tiny things. I go to the range. When I go to the range, I shoot little things.”
Rooker isn’t the only actor who goes shooting as a hobby, but his choice of targets might raise your eyebrows.
“I’ll go to the target, and I’ll put little figurines of Yondu and Merle, and I’ll go back about 40 paces or something and shoot their little heads off. Stuff like that. Little things. Or I like shooting things that really far, far, away. Because the farther away it gets, the smaller it gets, and then that turns me on, and I like that. Big things are too easy. I like little tiny things. That’s what I do for fun.”
To be fair, Merle and Yondu are probably used to having people open fire on them. However, in this case the actor who plays them is the one doing the shooting, which is a bit of meta fun I don’t know how to unpack. By all accounts, Rooker enjoyed playing Merle and Yondu. I’d hate to see how he treats the characters he doesn’t like.
