Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney x Gundam is the crossover we never knew we wanted (but now desperately want)

The Euphoria and Immaculate star Sweeney is in talks to be a part of Legendary's Gundam movie

Finally, we have an answer to the question: How do you follow up Madame Web?

I'm joking, obviously. Sydney Sweeney, who appeared in that film, has done quite well for herself, with smash hits like Immaculate following up Sony's poorly-received Spidey spinoff. And if current news is any indication, Sweeney's turn in the Sonyverse hasn't harmed her viability in the action genre at all. According to reports, Sweeney is in talks to star in the live-action Gundam movie.

The news comes from Deadline, who reported Sweeney's circling of the film March 31. At this early stage, there's no word on what kind of role Sweeney might be playing or, indeed, what the movie will be about (except for, one assumes, giant fighting robots). What we do know so far is that the film is written and directed by Sweet Tooth showrunner Jim Mickle, and produced by Legendary.

That's right, Legendary; as in, the folks that own the MonsterVerse. Yes, we have the same question you do right now. No, we do not have an answer.

One final note before we leave you: the potentially Sydney Sweeney-starring Gundam movie has been co-developed between Legendary and Bandai Namco Filmworks, the franchise owner for, and home of, the Gundam brand. So whatever you think of the talent attached to the movie, confirmed or otherwise, you can rest easy that the folks making the calls know their material.

Just in case you have any lingering Madame Web fears.
