If you thought the Jurassic Park franchise was finished after 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, you should know that life (and Universal Studios) always finds a way – to bring more Mesozoic Era Monsters to the big screen. After months of speculation, the next Jurassic World film has a title and a release date.

The film was first announced back in January 2024, when it was reported that David Koepp, who wrote the screenplays for the first two Jurassic Park movies, was writing the script for the upcoming sequel to Jurassic World Dominion. Now, the movie has a title to go along with the rumors: Jurassic World Rebirth.

With a release date of July 2, 2025, Jurassic World Rebirth marks the fourth film in the Jurassic World series and the seventh overall in the Jurassic Park franchise. It is set five years after Jurassic World Dominion. With dinosaurs largely unable to cope with the modern climate, a group of covert operatives led by Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey go to one of the prehistoric strongholds to recover a drug that promises to help all of mankind.

The title announcement also comes with a pair of images from the film that show its three leads in action, including Ali – while he’s not waiting impatiently for Marvel to move forward with their Blade reboot – recreating the iconic flare scene from the original film. We can't tell what dinosaur he's trying to flag down. We bet it is big, though.

Jurassic World Rebirth is set to stomp into cinemas on July 2, 2025.
