Fallout’s Ella Purnell wants to be in Margot Robbie’s The Sims movie
Ella Purnell is hoping she can get a spot in Margot Robbie’s upcoming Sims film

Ella Purnell has conquered post-apocalyptic wastelands in Fallout, and sibling warfare in Arcane. Now she’s ready for a video game adaptation that’s a bit more mellow.
During a spotlight panel at MCM x EGX 2024, Ella Purnell noted that after her roles in Fallout and Arcane, she’s concerned about being typecast in video game movies. “I actually think I need to stay away from video game adaptations now, because I’m going to get typecast. I’m going to be the video game girl. There are worse things to be than that, I suppose,” Purnell said.
However, there is one video game project she’s interested in. The actress was asked if there any other video game films she would like to be cast in, and the answer came to her in seconds. “I don’t know, I’ll take recommendations though. What about the Sims one that Margot Robbie is doing? I would like to go with that. That’s my final answer. Locked it in.”
A great choice, especially since Margot Robbie’s film adaptations tend to do well. Ever hear of a little film called Barbie?
The Sims movie is currently in development. As of this writing, no release date has been announced.
