Avengers: Doomsday isn't finished with its cast announcements, tease Marvel and Robert Downey Jr.
What, you thought five and a half hours of livestream was enough?

Popverse's top stories of the day
- DC Comics' New History of the DC Universe will include a definitive timeline of billions (and billions) of years of DC continuity
- MEMBERS ONLY: Get the full play-by-play of DC COmics' official Superman panel from WonderCon 2025
- Marvel Comics killed Peter Parker & replaced him as Spider-Man in 2012 - and only two people outside a secret circle were told it was temporary: Andrew Garfield & Stan Lee
You might remember that, despite a five-plus hour livestream announcing a barrage of cast members for Avengers: Doomsday, there were some noticeable names seemed to be missing from the line-up. Turns out, that might have been on purpose.
In the comments of the Instagram version of the announcement, Robert Downey Jr. teased, “That’s what u call a deep bench of talent… actually it’s more like a row, but an extra long one… That must be it… right?” In response, the official Marvel Studios account responded, “There’s always room for more…”
In other words, that somehow likely isn’t the full cast list for Avengers: Doomsday. On the one hand, a cast of 27 superheroes? That’s nowhere near the 38 heroes in Avengers: Endgame! (Even the poster for that movie had more than 30.) That means there’s so many more actors that can be announced for the project across the next year or so before its release… including many of the notably missing names we suggested. Chris Evans, are you listening…?
Wait. Does this mean we have another livestream to find out who else is joining the cast at some point?
Avengers: Doomsday will be released May 1 2026.
