Fantastic Four: First Steps' Human Torch actor Joseph Quinn wants to team up with Tom Holland's Spider-Man (or any of 'em!)

Joseph Quinn is ready for the Human Torch to meet Spider-Man…and he doesn’t care which one

Some things in life are certain. The sun will rise, Disney World will have long lines, and someone at a convention panel will ask a superhero actor about potential team-ups.

If you’ve ever been to a spotlight panel with a superhero actor, then you know the question is coming. Inevitably, someone will ask, “Which superhero do you want your character to team up with,” or a variation of that.

Honestly, I get it. It may be a predictable panel question, but it’s always a fun one. I never grow tired of seeing my favorite characters interact on screen, so these questions always electrify my imagination.

And thus, when Joseph Quinn visited Megacon 2025, someone at his spotlight panel asked him which superheroes he wants his version of the Human Torch to team up with.

At first Quinn gave a diplomatic answer. “I’ve won the lottery with my guys, didn’t I,” Quinn said, referring to his Fantastic Four: First Steps castmates. The audience began shouting out suggestions, with Spider-Man being the prevailing choice.

“I mean, Spider-Man would be great,” Quinn replied.

Quinn was asked to specify which Spider-Man, and the actor gave another diplomatic answer. “Which Spider-Man? “I’m not picking one. I like all of them.”

The audience then shouted names, but Quinn was not swayed. “I think they’re all brilliant. Tobey Maguire was my Spider-Man growing up. Andrew Garfield did an amazing job with his Spider-Man and is brilliant. What Tom Holland has done with his Peter Parker is brilliant.”

The audience responded by shouting the names of other heroes, and one particular name got Quinn’s attention. “Doctor Strange. Benedict is amazing.”

Basically, Joseph Quinn wants his Human Torch to team up with all of the heroes from Spider-Man: No Way Home. Honestly, I would be down for that. That would be an awesome movie.
