Now that Hugh Jackman has returned to Marvel, could Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans be next? Kevin Feige isn’t ruling it out.

In the Marvel Universe, nobody is really gone forever. Just take a look at the comics. Characters retire or die, but they always return. Take a look at Captain America and Iron Man. Both Tony Stark and Steve Rogers have had comic book funerals, but they’re currently alive and well in the modern Marvel Universe.
Why should the MCU be any different? Avengers: Endgame ends with Tony Stark dying, and Steve Rogers retiring after he becomes an old man. This put an end to Evans and Downey’s time in the MCU….or did it?
Don’t forget, Hugh Jackman had previously stated he was done playing Wolverine after the 2017 film Logan. Now he’s back to reprise the character (well, a variant of him) for Deadpool & Wolverine. Does this open the door for Captain America and Iron Man to return to the MCU?
In a conversation with Discussing Film, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige said it would only happen if it was done in a way that honored the characters.
“That’s the key, right? How do you do it in a way that maintains what has come before, and in a great way? And we’ve been spending, you know, the last two-plus years figuring that out for Wolverine. So, what’s to come? We’ll see. We’re just proud that we, I think, have figured it out for Wolverine. I think Hugh’s appearance and starring role in Deadpool & Wolverine is a great sign that it can be done — if great care is taken.”
Hmmmm, he’s not saying no or yes. Does Feige have something up his sleeve? Don’t forget, Marvel Studios’ current storyline is called the Multiverse Saga...
