That sure looks like [SPOILER]'s logo in new merch for Marvel's Thunderbolts*
At this point, most everyone knows that Lewis Pullman is actually playing [barely a SPOILER] in Marvel's Thunderbolts*, but does this mean he'll be getting a supersuit as well?

This article contains spoilers for Thunderbolts*.
We put that spoiler warning in here because we're nice (and cool!), but if you've spent any time researching Thunderbolts*, you know that Lewis Pullman's 'Bob" is actually Robert Reynolds, AKA The Sentry. It's hardly even a secret at this point, with star David Harbour going so far as to call the character out by name. But now, the cat's even further out of the bag, as we seem to have gotten our first look at the Sentry's S shield on official Thunderbolts* merchandise
The story comes from an Instagram post made by Courtney L. Young, a dialect coach working in the film industry. Young's credits in big-budget films include Barbie and Caddo Lake, as well as an extant list of Marvel titles. Young's work in the MCU includes but is not at all limited to:
- Avengers: Infinity War & Endgame
- Spider-Man: No Way Home
- Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
- Captain America: Brave New World
- Thunderbolts*
Yes, Young was part of the crew that made Thunderbolts*, which is why we were inclined to believe her when she posted the following photo to Instagram on January 13:
To be quite honest with you, we're not 100% sure what this piece of merchandise - or perhaps crew exclusive - even is. A coaster? A pin? A full-sized, Captain America-esque shield? We don't know. But we do recognize the silhouettes in a circle within as the Thunderbolts* cast - Yelena, Bucky, Alexei, John, etc. But take a look in the center there. Does that look familiar to you?
Unless the Thunderbolts advertising team has a real trick up their sleeves, that's the logo Sentry wears on his belt (cummerbund?). And again, we all know that Robert Reynolds is going to be in the film, but does this piece with his logo mean he'll also be sporting his comic book suit in Thunderbolts?
Now that would be a surprise to even well-researched fans of Marvel's Cinematic Universe. After all, except for the odd Cloak of Levitation, Marvel has thus far been pretty wary of capes in its Cinematic Universe (Remember: we see Vision uncaped more often than we see him wearing one. And even when we do see Vision in his cape, it's made from the same material the rest of him is, so that's basically a big flap of his skin back there).
Of course, the S we see in the above photo might only end up being tangentially associated with Lewis Pullman's Bob. It could be a stamp the government puts on files about him, or a logo that the team charged with looking after him will end up sporting. Hell, with that still unexplained asterisk in the movie's title, it could end up being the insignia for the team's new name by the end of the film - The Sentries. We'll just have to wait until the movie drops (or David Harbour tells us) to find out.
Thunderbolts* (and hopefully the costumed Sentry) comes to theaters May 2, 2025.
