Move over Wolverine, adamantium is about to make its first real debut in the Sacred Timelines.
Oh yeah. Right now, Popverse's very own Graeme McMillan is liveblogging the long awaited Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic Con's Hall H. In his liveblog, he shared with us some details about the brand new Captain America: Brave New World footage they're being shown. And it turns out adamantium is involved.
Per Graeme's liveblog, "President Ross talks about a celestial mass that appeared in the ocean. Wait... it's a follow-up from Eternals! "The truth is, this new element belongs to all of us. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... adamantium," says [Thunderbolt] Ross. (The audience applauded.)"
So not only is adamantium debuting in the MCU, that Eternals plotline is also finally resolved.
At the panel, which featured the excited and high fiving cast of Brave New World including Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford, Kevin Feige seemed particularly thrilled. "Just when I think my dream of a nerdy life can't be any more complete, I hear Harrison Ford say the word adamantium," Feige said.
As for how we're going to see adamantium play a role in this film and in the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe, we'll just have to wait and see.
Captain America: Brave New World releases February 14, 2025.
