After more than a decade, Lionsgate is finally fulfilling the dreams of legions of fans of the 2013 heist-but-make-it-magic movie Now You See Me with the official announcement that the movie’s third installment will have the title everyone wanted for the second. Yes, finally, we’re getting a movie that’s actually called Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.
The follow-up to 2016’s Now You See Me 2 (see? What a boring title for a movie about illusionists!) will see Jessie Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher return to the franchise to star alongside Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt as a new generation of illusionists threaten the Four Horseman’s reign as the greatest illusionists to ever perform. Surely, only an overly complicated heist can decide who is the greatest once and for all! Rosamund Pike also joins the cast in an undisclosed role.
The new movie will be directed by Zombieland and Venom director Ruben Fleischer, who — it turns out - -will also be working on an as-yet-untitled fourth movie in the series, as announced at CinemaCon 2025. Fleischer said of the new assignment, “Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things—heist movies and magic—and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course I want to keep it going.”
CinemaCon was also where the title and release date for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t were announced. The third movie in the franchise will be released November 14, 2025. We’ll see — get it? It’s a pun because the series is called Now You See Me… oh, you got it — when the first trailer drops to enjoy the real magic.
