Want to learn to skydive? Pom Klementieff has the best way - ask Tom Cruise

What’s the best gift for a coworker? If you’re Tom Cruise, it’s skydiving lessons.

Sometimes your coworkers think of the best gifts. However, if your coworker is Tom Cruise, then the gifts can be a bit…extra.

When Pom Klementieff finished shooting Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, she got an unforgettable wrap gift from her costar Tom Cruise.

During a spotlight panel ACE Superhero Comic Con 2024, Klementieff shared an amusing story.

“I was inspired by Tom [Cruise] and his stunt team. I would see Tom always jumping and skydiving. I remember telling him, ‘I want to do that with you guys? Can I come? Can I do it?’ They said, ‘No, you need to get your license.’ When I wrapped the movie, I asked Tom, ‘I would love to learn how to skydive. Do you have any recommendations?’”

Tom Cruise gave her more than a recommendation. The actor paid for her skydiving lessons.

“He gifted me as one of my wrap gifts teaching me how to skydive. Not himself but having me learn with someone else. I went to a drop zone and learned for maybe ten days. You have to give yourself approximately two weeks to learn how to skydive.”

When Klementieff graduated, Cruise was there to put her license to good use.

“He came on the last day when I was about to get my license. We did nine jumps together, it was incredible. I will remember that forever,” Klementieff recalled.

Imagine jumping out of a plane with Tom Cruise. Now imagine doing it nine times in one day. Klementieff has fought Thanos and worked as an assassin, but I have to imagine that this is one of the most exciting experiences of her life.
