The words of wisdom Samuel L. Jackson gave Marvel's new Captain America Anthony Mackie are a lesson we should all learn
The veteran actor makes sure he knows everyone's name and is always ready on set, which makes Samuel L. Jackson the morale leader everywhere he goes.

Samuel L. Jackson is one of those actors that feels like he’s been around forever and, with that experience, comes a whole lot of wisdom and responsibility. According to his MCU co-star Anthony Mackie, that is something that Jackson embraces on set, even offering the Captain America: Brave New World star a bit of simple but worthwhile advice.
“I’ve done like eight movies with Sam Jackson,” Anthony Mackie explained as he sat down for an interview to promote Captain America: Brave New World. “And what I love about him is he’s always the most genuine person on set. If he dishes out, he takes s**t back from you. And that’s all you can ask because he really sets the morale on set. When Sam comes on set, you know it’s going to be a good day. You know it's gonna be a quick day. You know he’s going to be prepared.”
Setting that morale isn’t just about being forthright with people or being professional; it is in how Jackson treats everyone on set. From his co-stars to the crew, Samuel L. Jackson apparently gives everyone the personal treatment. “He knows everybody’s name. From the damn catering dude to the director. He knows everybody’s name. But because of that, everybody felt included in the process and not overlooked.”
And that advice we talked about earlier? The best words of wisdom Samuel L. Jackson ever gave Anthony Mackie – “Don’t be an asshole, but don’t let anyone treat you like an asshole because of their insecurities.” Honestly, those are some great words to live by from Nick Fury himself.
