Marvel's Thunderbolts* evolves beyond popcorn buckets with special popcorn cereal boxes
The Thunderbolts* cereal might even come with a serving of spoilers, if Marvel's puzzle is offering the clues we think it is...

Forget popcorn buckets — Marvel Studios is already working on the next big popcorn delivery system. Attendees to the Disney presentation at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas received special Thunderbolts* cereal boxes filled with the movie snack, complete with a puzzle on the back!
What is assuredly the next big movie merchandise to go for extortionate prices online was shared on social media by The Hollywood Reporter, which posted photos of the packaging. The so-called “Breakfast of Heroes” packaging — tagline: “everyone deserves a second shot” — offers a couple of sly jokes about the upcoming Thunderbolts* release, including “Now with more Bucky!” labeling; what we’re perhaps more focused in on is the placement of characters in the back puzzle.

Noting that “The Thunderbolts can’t agree on which way to go,” we can’t help but notice that the characters in the puzzle are US Agent, Yelena, the Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and Bucky — while both Val (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and Bob (Lewis Pullman) are standing together at the end of the puzzle. Does this mean that Bob specifically isn’t one of the Thunderbolts, but instead one of Val’s other operatives, working at odds with the team’s actual objective?
(Again, we’re pretty sure that Bob is The Sentry, and the Void is the big bad of the movie, so… that might make sense in the grand scheme of things…)
Thunderbolts* is released May 2. We can only hope the cereal boxes make it to regular theaters, and we can also only hope that Bob isn’t entirely a traitor to the Thunderbolts by the end of the whole thing.
