It's the end of an era, friends. Venom: The Last Dance will be Tom Hardy's final film as Eddie Brock, a reporter infected with a symbiote that makes him a lethal protector. It is the latest film in Sony Pictures' Spider-Man Universe, where it finds meme-worthy company in films like Morbius and Madame Web.
Beyond the silliness of these films, all eyes are on Venom: The Last Dance to see if the film will follow up on the mid-credits scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home, which featured Hardy's Eddie Brock at a bar, learning about the key players of Marvel Studios' MCU. Regardless of what's in store for us later this fall, here's everything we know about Venom: The Last Dance.
What is Venom: The Last Dance About?
Venom: The Last Dance is about Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote he shares a body with. The synopsis for the film notes that the two will be on the run from the law in the film, likely because of the sheer volume of crimes that the two have committed in the previous two films.
How many other Venom films are there?
The Last Dance is the final film in a trilogy in Sony's Spider-Man Universe. The first film, Venom, was released in 2018 and was a surprise box office hit. The second film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, was directed by Andy Serkis and hit theaters in 2021. It featured Woody Harrelson as Carnage himself, with a terrifying combover to boot.
Is there a Venom: The Last Dance trailer yet?
You bet there is, and you can watch it here. If you've ever wanted to see what Venom would look like clutching onto the side of a plane, this one's for you.

Who is in Venom: The Last Dance?
The film's cast is stacked with acclaimed actors like, of course, Tom Hardy, as well as Chiwetel Ejiofor, Stephen Graham, Juno Temple, and Peggy Lu, who makes her return as the fan-favorite character, Mrs. Chen. While we don't yet know the role that Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing, the trailer shows him wearing a military uniform, so there's that.

Will Tom Holland's Spider-Man appear in Venom: The Last Dance?
To quote the great John Mulaney: who's to say. We won't know if Tom Holland's Spidey will join Eddie Brock until Venom: The Last Dance opens in theaters this fall. Until then, we can speculate.
