Zoe Saldaña's Oscar win for Emilia Pérez makes her the 32nd MCU actor to win an Academy Award. Here are the other 31

Sure, you know Robert Downey Jr. and Brie Larson have taken home the gold. But who else has given the Marvel Cinematic Universe Oscars cred?

2025's Oscars ceremony was a big night for movie watchers (and not big enough for Demi Moore, but I'm not bitter or anything), particularly fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That's because our very own Gamora, AKA the brilliant Zoe Saldaña, took home the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in the musical Emilia Pérez. And not only did the deadliest of the Galaxy's Guardians join the hallowed ranks of Oscar winners, but she also became one of the very few actors to have both that award and a role in the MCU.

Yes, of the hundreds of actors that have come together to create the most successful film franchise in history, only a scant 32 of them have also taken home an Academy Award for acting. And since we thought you might be curious, we went ahead and compiled a list of every MCU actor who has won an Oscar, along with their name, their award, and the film for which they won.

A quick note before we begin here: we're only including MCU actors who have had roles in the sacred timeline. For example, we know that two-time Oscar winner Emma Stone is technically a part of one of the MCU's realities after Spider-Man: No Way Home brought every webhead movie under the same, multiversal banner, but that'll have to be a list for a different day.

Without further ado, here are all the MCU's Oscar-winning actors:

  • Angelina Jolie, Best Supporting Actress, Girl, Interrupted
  • Anthony Hopkins, Best Actor, Silence of the Lambs & The Father
  • Ben Kingsley, Best Actor, Gandhi
  • Brie Larson, Best Actress, Room
  • Cate Blanchett, Best Actress, Blue Jasmine; Best Supporting Actress, The Aviator
  • Charlize Theron, Best Actress, Monster
  • Christian Bale, Best Supporting Actor, The Fighter
  • Daniel Kaluuya, Best Supporting Actor, Judas and the Black Messiah
  • Forest Whitaker, Best Actor, The Last King of Scotland
  • Gwyneth Paltrow, Best Actress, Shakespeare in Love
  • J.K. Simmons, Best Supporting Actor, Whiplash
  • Jamie Foxx, Best Actor, Ray
  • Jeff Bridges, Best Actor, Crazy Heart
  • Jennifer Connelly, Best Supporting Actress, A Beautiful Mind
  • Ke Huy Quan, Best Supporting Actor, Everything Everywhere All at Once
  • Lupita Nyong'o, Best Supporting Actress, 12 Years a Slave
  • Mahershala Ali, Best Supporting Actor, Moonlight
  • Marisa Tomei, Best Supporting Actress,  My Cousin Vinny
  • Michael Douglas, Best Actor, Wall Street
  • Michelle Yeoh, Best Actress, Everything Everywhere All at Once
  • Natalie Portman, Best Actress, Black Swan
  • Olivia Colman, Best Actress, The Favourite
  • Rachel Weisz, Best Supporting Actress,  The Constant Gardener
  • Robert Downey Jr., Best Supporting Actor, Oppenheimer
  • Russell Crowe, Best Actor, Gladiator
  • Sam Rockwell, Best Supporting Actor, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
  • Tilda Swinton, Best Supporting Actress, Michael Clayton
  • Tommy Lee Jones, Best Supporting Actor, The Fugitive
  • William Hurt, Best Actor, Kiss of the Spider Woman
  • Zoe Saldaña, Best Supporting Actress, Emilia Pérez

Really quickly before you leave: this list only took into account Oscar-winners who have appeared in the MCU as of this writing. So if you're looking for Denzel Washington's name, come back after Black Panther 3 hits theaters.
