Since it debuted in 2016, My Hero Academia has been one of the biggest shows in the anime industry. Now, it is back on our screens for a new batch of episodes for the Spring 2024 anime season. With My Hero Academia season seven’s release date fast approaching, Crunchyroll is making sure that fans around the world can join those in Japan in cheering for Midoriya, Bakugo, and the rest of Class 1A.
Similar to how Crunchyroll is handling the release of Kaiju No. 8, the streamer will be simulcasting the new season of My Hero Academia as it airs in Japan. That means that new episodes will land on Crunchyroll at the same time they are broadcast to Japanese viewers rather than waiting for the local broadcast to be over. My Hero Academia season seven will begin airing on May 4, 2024.
If you want to be one of the first people to see the new episodes of this hit show, it will be a bit of a late night for you. New episodes will become available at 2:30 am PDT or 5:30 am EDT. Fans who have grown accustomed to the English dub of My Hero Academia will probably have to wait a bit longer, however. While Crunchyroll is planning to dub the show in multiple languages, they haven’t currently announced when those episodes will air. Typically, the dubs air a week or two after the Japanese broadcast, but that gap is becoming shorter for important shows like My Hero Academia.
If you need a refresher on what’s been going on for the first six seasons of My Hero Academia, Crunchyroll is also airing the four-part My Hero Academia: Memories special event starting on April 6, 2024. These episodes will recap the events of the entire anime, from Deku’s first days at UA High School through to season six’s Dark Hero arc. All of this leads up to the new film, My Hero Academia: You're Next, landing in cinemas this summer.
My Hero Academia season seven will debut on May 4, 2024 on Crunchyroll.
