This panel will be an open discussion about how teen issues including first love, school life, and social-emotional development are represented in manga. Based on real conversations we have had with teens at the library we will discuss how to tie the discussed topics to manga that they have read and loved. Anime and manga have been subjected to controversy and fans have been bullied for their love of comics and manga and through this panel, we hope there will be a better understanding and appreciation for this media.
