The world of Marvel video games is coming together. After last month's collaboration with Marvel Snap, Marvel Rivals is branching out across the gaming multiverse this month. Starting January 3, Marvel Rivals is going to be connecting with mobile games featuring Marvel characters as it tries to establish itself as a force to be reckoned with in the team shooter genre.

With Marvel Snap’s current season featuring multiple characters from the Marvel Rivals' roster, the next step is for the PC shooter to reach out to players of other games to remind them that it exists. After all, if you regularly play one Marvel live service game, you might be up to try another one. Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Puzzle Quest are the two games set to start the new year off with a fresh batch of Marvel Rivals-inspired content.

What form will these new collaborations take? We don’t know just yet. The event is set to bring players of all four games (Marvel Rivals, Marvel Snap, Marvel Future Fight, and Marvel Puzzle Quest), but doesn’t say how it will do so. We would guess that new skins for Marvel Rivals will be released, plus some new content for the existing games to tie it all together. It might be a bit ambitious to hope that there will be a fresh narrative bringing the four games into some sort of Marvel gaming multiverse, but that would be pretty cool too.

Marvel Rivals is out now on PC, while you can play Marvel Snap, Marvel Future Fight, and Marvel Puzzle Quest on your mobile device.
