It is that time of year again; no, we’re not talking about the impending holiday season. We’re talking about the next Marvel Snap series drop. Starting on December 10, a new collection of cards is going to become easier to get in your deck. The downside, this Marvel Snap series drop isn’t quite as impressive as fans might be expecting.

What is a Marvel Snap series drop and why is this one important?

For those who don’t know, a series drop in Marvel Snap refers to how the cards are ranked by the developers. Every card is ranked from Series One to Five, with One being the most common and least powerful and Five being the most rare and most powerful. A series drop occurs when cards move from a higher series to a lower one, making them easier to obtain. It doesn’t change their abilities but it helps new and returning players keep up with fans who have spent countless hours into the game.

Previously, series drops have happened in Marvel Snap every few months to keep things fresh for players, but this is only the second series drop of 2024. That means that the metadata for Marvel Snap hasn’t changed much in the past 12 months, so this is an important series drop for the game.

What cards are changing in Marvel Snap’s next series drop?

Previous series drops have been big changes to Marvel Snap’s meta, but this one is on a much smaller scale. Only nine cards are moving from Series Five to Series Four and only three cards are shifting from Series Four down to Series Three.
