Popverse went to C2E2 2024 and all we got was this amazing cavalcade of stories for you
We had a very packed weekend in Chicago's McCormick Place
Popverse's top stories of the day
- How the Star Trek V: The Final Frontier campfire scene encapsulated and inspired everything we love about the Marvel Studios movies & TV shows
- WATCH: Yellowstone: John Dutton's fate, Kevin Costner's exit, and season 5's biggest surprise revealed
- Creature Commandos at NYCC '24: The weirdest, wildest & Weasel-est moments from DC & Max's James Gunn-led panel
And that, dear reader, is how you do a convention. C2E2 2024 has just wrapped up, and Team Popverse — in this case, editor-in-chief Chris Arrant, deputy editor Tiffany Babb, video producer Ashley Victoria Robinson, and senior video producer Veronica Valencia, alongside contributing writer Dave Buesing — was there for the whole thing, reporting, writing, videoing, interviewing, moderating, and most importantly, enjoying the whole show for the past three days.
In case you weren’t around, here’s what you missed in terms of coverage from the show:
In terms of video, Popverse paid members got to watch panels featuring Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith, the voice cast of Star Wars: Rebels, the cast of Rick & Morty, Hugh Dancy and the amazing Mads Mikkelsen, Christopher Lloyd, and Maya Hawke, as well as the Cosplay Central Costume Showcase, while everyone got to see Brandon Sanderson, the voice cast of One Piece, the cast of Ted Lasso, and the Cosplay Central Global Finals.
Is that not enough? Well, don’t worry — Ashley Victoria Robinson also asked creators in Artist’s Alley five very important questions, and you can find the answers here, here, here, here, and here, and Tiffany Babb took a look at some of the best cosplay of the show.
Wait, that’s nowhere near all. We told you about the latest on the Something is Killing the Children TV show (as well as the future of the SIKTC comic and new collected editions of James Tynion’s Boom! Studios work), and brought you inside the friendly skies of Funko Airways. (We also live-blogged Funko’s and Tynion’s panels at the show.) We shared stories from Friday’s 45 Years of Alien panel. We broke news about the end of a merchandise deal between TeeTurtle and Disney, and let you know about a collectible spinning out from one of this year’s hottest comics. And we let you know about the tallest dice tower in the world (maybe).
As stunning as it may seem, that’s still not all: you’ll be able to keep up with even more C2E2 coverage across the next few weeks right here on Popverse, as we continue to share stories from our magical three days in McCormick Place. If all of this is making you feel like you missed out, don’t worry — ReedPop (which owns Popverse, as well as C2E2) has already announced the dates of next year’s C2E2, giving you plenty of time to plan your trip. I mean, let’s be honest… it sounds like a pretty good time, right?
Re-live the majesty of C2E2 with our the C2E2 2024 Main Stage panel videos on-demand, all the major things Popverse found at the Chicago show, and C2E2 2024's best cosplay.
