If Jedi mind tricks were real, then we could easily get Disney to greenlit Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2. As much as we love Star Wars, most of us aren’t Jedi Knights, but Ewan McGregor has an alternative strategy that might work.

During a spotlight panel at Megacon 2024, the actor spoke fondly of the 2022 Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi. “It was originally going to be a movie, and I’ve often thought should it have been a movie,” McGregor shared. But I kind of think it’s great that we did it that way and it’s a longer story. Hopefully it’s more satisfying as a result. We got more time to weave a story.”

Then he went into his pitch.

“I just hope we can do another one. Can everyone write to Disney,” McGregor asked as he faced the audience. The crowd reacted to the question with cheers and applause. If there was any question about the demand for Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2, then the crowd response should easily put it to rest.

“I’ll give you some e-mail addresses. Dear Disney, let’s have a bit more Obi-Wan Kenobi please,” McGregor playfully said.

Alright folks, you heard the man. Consider this an official order from a Jedi Master. If you want more Obi-Wan Kenobi (respectfully) write Disney some e-mails.
