At Star Wars Celebration, Kathleen Kennedy had a host of movie announcements for fans.

At this year's Star Wars Celebration Europe, Kathleen Kennedy took the stage to make some long-awaited announcements about the future of Star Wars movies. After teasing the future of Star Wars movie projects, Kennedy showed a slide featuring an extended Star Wars timeline, and promised three new untitled film projects which would reach into the unexplored past, present, and future of the Star Wars timeline.

Kennedy also brought onto the stage three directors who will be helming the projects, James Mangold (who will be delving into the past), Dave Filoni (who will be looking into the present) and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (who will be looking into the future).

Now we don't have too much information about the first two projects, but Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, who will be directing the third project, had a little more to tease about her film.

Obaid-Chinoy's film will be exploring a time 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker, a time that is defined (by the newly shared timeline) as the New Jedi Order. Now this New Jedi Order will be led by a "powerful new Jedi master" of course, and this Jedi master will be a familiar face. This powerful new Jedi Master will be Daisy Ridley, reprising her role as Rey.

We'll certainly be hearing more about these three upcoming films as we get closer to release. Keep an eye on Popverse's main page for any newly announced details.
