We are now firmly in a new era of Survivor. The long-running reality show’s stakes have never felt higher as it ventures into its 47th season on CBS. Now that the contestants for season 47 have finally been announced, one question remains: who will come out as the winner?

This season of Survivor takes the contestants to the island nation of Fiji. The “first look” trailer for the season highlights Fiji’s lush forests and white sand beaches. This picture perfect landscape will provide a stunning backdrop for the toils and turbulences the contestants will undergo in season 47.

Season 47 of Survivor is set to begin with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, September 18 at 8:00 ET on CBS. Fans can also watch season 47’s new episodes on Paramount+, provided that they also have a subscription to SHOWTIME. Those with Paramount+ Essential plans can stream the new season’s episodes the day after they air on CBS. New episodes are expected to air weekly on Wednesdays.

As part of the new era of Survivor, the seasons are shorter than they were when the show originally began in the year 2000. This has changed the fundamentals of the reality show, a fact that a contestant echoed in the “first look” trailer.

Survivor Season 47 will premiere on Wednesday, September 18 at 8:00 ET on CBS, and will stream on Paramount+.
