The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live release date: When is the Michonne and Rick show coming out?
The dead continue to walk.
For over a decade, TV fans have been following the story of The Walking Dead. The original show not only helped breathe undead life into the zombie horror genre, but it also spawned several spin-offs that have kept the franchise going strong today. The latest of those spin-offs, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, is due to shamble its way onto our screens shortly.
The first episode of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is set to air on February 25, 2024 on AMC and AMC+. A specific time for this episode’s premiere hasn’t been announced yet, nor has an ongoing release schedule for subsequent episodes. We expect new episodes of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live to stream each Sunday, but that could change as we get closer to the time. That makes the first season's schedule look like this:
- The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 1: Release Date February 25, 2024
- The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 2: Release Date March 3, 2024
- The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 3: Release Date March 10, 2024
- The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 4: Release Date March 17, 2024
- The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 5: Release Date March 24, 2024
- The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Episode 6: Release Date March 31, 2024
The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is currently expected to consist of six episodes in the first series. Because it has been billed as a limited mini-series, it is unlikely that AMC will commission further seasons, but anything can happen. With both the Daryl Dixon and Dead City spin-offs getting second seasons, The Ones Who Live may follow suit if the demand is there.
When it premieres on February 25, 2024, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will follow Rick Grimes and Michonne as they try to make their way back to each other in a world at war with the undead. Both Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira reprise their roles from the original series, with Pollyanna McIntosh returning as Jadis Stokes. Lucifer’s Lesley-Ann Brandt and Lost’s Terry O’Quinn also join the cast for the new series.
