The YA Teen Titans series by Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo is returning for a fifth volume
The acclaimed DC series of young adult takes on the iconic characters will continue with a fifth book
Kami Garcia and Gabriel Picolo aren’t done with the Teen Titans yet.
Ahead of next week’s release of their upcoming Teen Titans: Robin graphic novel — the latest in a critically acclaimed YA series that launched with 2019’s New York Times bestseller Teen Titans: Raven, before continuing with Teen Titans: Beast Boy, and then Teen Titans: Beast Boy Loves Raven — Garcia has revealed that the duo are already at work on a previously unannounced fifth book.
Garcia revealed the news in an Instagram post teasing the Robin graphic novel, with the final question in an FAQ caption being, “Will there be more books after Robin?” to which she answered, “Yes! Picolo and I are working on book #5 now!”
Teen Titans hasn’t been the only YA project Garcia has worked on with DC; she also wrote last year’s Constantine: Distorted Illusions, a reimagining of the classic Hellblazer character illustrated by Isaac Goodhart. Outside of the YA field, Garcia also teamed with artists Mico Suayan, Mike Mayhew, and Jason Badger for the DC Black Label miniseries Joker/Harley: Criminal Sanity.
The 208-page Teen Titans: Robin will be released March 7. Don’t be too surprised if more information about the fifth book in the series arrives before too long.
