It’s not easy being green, as a certain frog will eagerly tell you — but what if green is just one of the things you are? And what if some other of those things you happened to be included being a teenager, and being a mutant, and being a ninja? I think you can tell where we’re going with this, but in case you’re not persuaded yet about how wonderful the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are, don’t worry: IDW’s new anthology series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black, White & Green is here to help — and Popverse has an exclusive preview of the first issue.
Bringing together some of comics’ most interesting talents — Paulina Ganucheau (Wonder Woman: The Adventures of Young Diana)! Declan Shalvey (Deadpool vs. Old Man Logan, Moon Knight)! Dave Baker (Mary Tyler Moorhawk)! Jesse Longergan! And more! — this new anthology series takes the restrained color approach of books like Harley Quinn: Black + White + Red and Marvel’s Wolverine: Black, White, and Blood for a spin with some wonderful results, as you can see for yourself in the special sneak peek below.

Think of it as a celebration of everything heroes in a half shell… and a fitting way to mark the 40th anniversary of the characters’ debut. (Yes, 2024 is four decades since the world first met the Turtles; now we can all feel very old.)
The first issue in the four-issue series won’t be released until May 8, but is available for pre-order at your local comic book store right now. (Wondering where your closest comic store is? We can help with that.) Until then, don’t feel as if you have to wait for new Turtles stories — the first issue of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin II series is already in stores and waiting for you. Here’s what we thought of it.
The TMNT have leveled up, and Popverse has everything you need to know about it. Learn about the background of the futuristic TMNT: The Last Ronin, then get a glimpse at the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that show up in its sequel - TMNT: The Last Ronin II - Re-Evolution. We'll even give you a peek into the first issue of Re-Evolution, but be warned, there are some spoilers in there.
