Adolescence season 2? It's not impossible, says Stephen Graham producer and star of of Netflix's drama

Graham, who recently recounted his experience with the Netflix crime drama's wild success, didn't confirm an Adolescence season 2. But he didn't NOT confirm it either, ya know?

In just four episodes, Netflix's Adolescence, which stars Stephen Graham as the father of a child incited to murder by online platforms, has both shocked and fascinated the world of streaming viewers, currently sitting at #1 on the Netflix Top 10 list. And even though the show was written as a one-off, its wild success has had people asking Graham, who also produced the mini, whether the story will continue into an Adolescence season 2.

His response? "Possibly, let’s see how the figures are."

The answer comes from an interview Graham and coproducer/wife Hannah Walters did with Variety, and in case it wasn't clear, Graham knows that you know he's being cheeky. The "figures" Graham speaks of are nothing short of prodigious - not only is it in the top spot as we've already mentioned (its second week in that place, by the way), but the show drew in a reported 24.3 million pairs of eyes in its opening weekend. That was March 13, and since then, those viewership numbers have climbed to 66.3 million, according to Variety.

Let's be clear here: Netflix has not officially announced an Adolescence season 2 as of this writing, and we're not coming to you with any insider knowledge (god, what I'd do for any of that). This is just to say that, even on a very unserious, unofficial level, both Graham have Walters have at least have not officially declared the story of Adolescence over.

"But yeah," Graham concludes his answer to Variety, "There’s the possibility of developing another story."

Possibility, eh? We'll take it.

Adolescence is streaming now on Netflix.
