Just how spooky will Agatha All Along be? Here is what the age rating for Disney+'s latest MCU series tells us

No one said getting what you wanted would be easy.

The MCU is going to get a little more magical as Agatha Harkness returns to Disney+. Agatha All Along is the first time we’ve seen Kathryn Hahn’s devious witch in action since 2021’s WandaVision, so we’re all eager to see what happened to her after her confrontation with Wanda at the end of that series. However, does Agatha All Along’s age rating mean this adventure won’t be suitable for younger viewers?

If you’ve watched WandaVision already, you probably have a pretty good idea of what sort of content to expect from Agatha All Along. The two shows share the same age rating in both the UK and the US. Agatha All Along is rated TV-14 in the US and 12+ in the UK.

Despite the trailer giving distinctly spooky vibes, Agatha All Along is currently listed as Fantasy rather than Horror on the Disney+ website, but they haven’t given any specific content warnings for the show yet. Still, we can guess from the horror tropes in the trailer that this will be a darker adventure for Agatha and her new coven of witches. There will probably be some general peril and frightening moments, but that age rating doesn't suggest there will be any gore or other adult content.

What remains to be seen is how the show expands on the current state of magic in the MCU. WandaVision introduced the idea of magic outside of the sorcerers like Doctor Strange, but, with Doctor Doom and his penchant for combining science and magic coming in the near future, Agatha All Along might be the perfect time to show us just how weird the supernatural side of Marvel can get.
