Marvel's Agatha All Along got a subtle change in post that changes the ending pretty drastically
The Disney+ series wanted to be sure we knew why Agatha made her ultimate sacrifice.

The twist ending of Agatha All Along caught us all off guard, but it also caught Joe Locke himself by surprise as well. At least, the climatic scene he filmed on set was a bit different from what we all saw on Disney+. After they finished filming the series, Locke was brought in to add a crucial voiceover to the battle between Billy, Agatha, and Rio in Agatha All Along’s penultimate episode.
Obviously, we’re going to be discussing some serious spoilers for Agatha All Along below, so be warned.
After she delivers Billy to Rio as promised, Agatha begins to walk away, content in her own safety from Death for the foreseeable future. However, she has a sudden change of heart after Billy sends her a telepathic message. According to Locke, that moment was a bit different in the original script. During an interview with Deadline, he said, “That scene was such a complicated one for me. I think it actually changed in post, I’m pretty sure, because the ‘Is this how Nikki died?’ – the telepathic line to Agatha – was a thing we added in post.”
“So, when I was playing, I was playing it that Agatha decides on her own,” he explained about how the original script impacted his performance. “Which is how I still see it. I think she would have, but I think you need to tell the audience that story.”
Clearly, the producers didn’t share Locke’s optimism that Agatha would make such a noble sacrifice and thought she needed a little push in the right direction when they changed the script in post. She’s a selfish character who has betrayed and killed plenty of people across her long life, so she would need a bit of encouragement to sacrifice herself for the son of her former enemy.
