What happens when two of the perkiest forces collide? It either leads to an intense rivalry, a whirlwind romance, or both. At least that’s what Hazbin Hotel’s Erika Henningsen thinks. The voice actress has a fun idea for a Hazbin Hotel/Inside Out crossover, and you have to read it to believe it.

During a Hazbin Hotel spotlight panel at Megacon 2025, Henningsen and her Hazbin castmates were asked what franchises Hazbin should crossover with. “I really just want Charlie to meet Joy from Inside Out,” Henningsen said. “I feel like they would have this thing where their story would be that they both want the same joyful control and kind of be like enemies, but then it becomes best friendship….and then they kiss.”

“And then Joy and Charlie would scissor,” Amir Talai added, taking it a step further.

“I feel like Angel Dust and Chainsaw Man would go hard,” Blake Roman suggested. “I feel like Vox on American Dad would be interesting,” Talai pitched.

Those are both good suggestions, but I’m kind of stuck on this Charlie/Joy pitch. They’re both perky overachievers, and I kind of want to see how they would interact. While Disney and Amazon Prime Video probably won’t be greenlighting any Hazbin/Inside Out crossovers, Henningsen’s pitch is still one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard in a convention panel.
