John Boyega is an actor, producer, activist, former stormtrooper, and a Golden Globe winner.
He’s also a big anime fan.
When Boyega isn’t talking about his work on Star Wars or Attack the Block, he loves chatting about his favorite animes, including Attack on Titan. Recently, Boyega was asked about his favorite character from the anime, which caused him to go on a rant about why Levi Ackerman is the GOAT.
“Captain Levi. That’s my guy,” Boyega says with excitement. “He’s the only one that showed up in the middle of season 1, and I felt like, okay, they have things under control. Because, these Titans are just going through here eating everything, and the Warriors are there, untrained a little bit, and they’re kind of like, ‘I have this passion to be the greatest warrior, and I’m going to kill every Titan I see.’ And it’s like, ‘Yeah mate. You’ve got 4 years until that works out Eren.’ But Captain just comes and goes, ‘I’ve done this my entire life.’ And he just gets it done, so he’s my favorite guy.”
