The start of a new anime season is a chance for us all to discover new shows or to catch the next season of an old favorite. The Fall 2024 anime season has a great mixture of both, with new shows like Dan Da Dan and Uzumaki coming to our screens alongside new seasons of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, Dragon Ball Daima, and Re: Zero: Starting Life in Another World. If you’re wondering what anime to watch on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and HIDIVE this Fall, we’ve got everything coming out this season and where to watch it.

Everything coming to Crunchyroll in the Fall 2024 anime season

Crunchyroll continues to be your home for every episode of One Piece, along with Shonen staples Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Hunter x Hunter. The Fall 2024 anime season sees the return of at least one of these series, as Dragon Ball Daima becomes the first anime based on the work of Akira Toriyama after the mangaka’s passing in early 2024.

As usual, the bulk of the shows coming to us this season are in Crunchyroll's library. Re:Zero: Starting Life in Another World season three looks like it will be one of the big hits of the Fall, while fans of romance anime have 365 Days to the Wedding to swoon over. Shangri-La Frontier season two is one that you shouldn't sleep on - the first season was fantastic and we expect more from the new batch of episodes.

In addition to these shows, there are also several shows that are continuing from the Summer 2024 anime season, either because they have an annual release schedule or because they are releasing over consecutive cours.

Everything coming to HIDIVE in the Fall 2024 anime season

One of Crunchyroll’s big competitors in the anime streaming space is HIDIVE. While the site doesn’t usually have the bulk of shows that Crunchyroll does, they make up for it with some quality series that demand to be seen. Summer 2024 had Oshi no Ko as the site’s stand-out hit, so we're hoping the streamer has a similar hit in its line-up this season.

  • 2.5 Dimensional Seduction cour 2 - September 27
  • How I Attended an All-Guy’s Mixer – October 1
  • Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon season 5 - October 3
  • Loner Life in Another World – October 4
  • Future Folktales season 2 - November 4

Everything coming to Netflix in the Fall 2024 anime season

Anime continues to be a growing part of Netflix’s strategy, and you can see that in their streaming schedule for the Fall 2024 anime season. While they don’t have the sheer quantity of anime titles that Crunchyroll does, they are streaming several shows that are likely to be big hits this season. This includes sharing the streaming rights for the highly anticipated Dan Da Dan anime series with Crunchyroll.

  • Dan Da Dan season 1 – October 3
  • Blue Box season 1 – October 5
  • Ranma ½ season 1 – October 5
  • Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft season 1 – October 10
  • Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance season 1 – October 17
  • Beastars season 3 part 1 – December 2024

Everything coming to Hulu and Disney+ in the Fall 2024 anime season

We also have shows coming to Hulu and Disney+. While they don’t have much in the way of new anime this fall, the streamers do have the third season of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War coming in October to make up for it. This is the penultimate chapter in the final Bleach arc and is the first time this part of Ichigo’s journey has been adapted into animation.

  • Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 – The Conflict – October 5

Fall 2024 anime airing on broadcast television

Finally, we have anime that are airing on broadcast television in the US rather than on a streaming service. There is usually only a few of these each season, but this year we have a big title coming to Adult Swim's Toonami block. Uzumaki, one of the greatest works of famed horror writer and illustrator Junji Ito, is going to be airing first on televisions across the US before it ends up on a streaming service later in the year.

  • Uzumaki – September 29
