Between Interview with the Vampire and Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches, it's been a wonderful time to be a fan of Rice's Southern Gothic stories. Season 1 of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches brought together an intoxicating combination of beautiful costumes and sets with a horrifying story, and season 2 of the show is set to build on this further.
Season 2 of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches will release on January 5, 2025. A preview for this season reveals that the show's sophomore season will explore the shapeshifter Lasher's relationship with Rowan while Cortland is held accountable for the darkness of his past. The introduction of another powerful Mayfair Witch named Moira throws another wrench into Rowan's search for answers. You can take a look at the preview below.
Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches stars Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding, a surgeon who discovers that she is descended from a long line of witches. The cast for the show is rounded out by Tongayi Chirisa, Jack Huston, and Harry Hamlin. The show is based on the Lives of the Mayfair Witches book trilogy by Anne Rice.
The show is set within the same universe as AMC's Interview with the Vampire show, dubbed Anne Rice's Immortal Universe. The upcoming series, The Talamasca, is set to debut in 2025, and will center on the secret society of the same name featured on the Mayfair Witches show.
Season 2 of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches will release on January 5, 2025 on AMC and AMC+.
