The Blue Exorcist anime has had a rocky production journey, with several long gaps between seasons throughout the years. However, it has gained some momentum recently and has adaptations of multiple manga arcs in development at once. The Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga release date is fast approaching and brings some intense imagery to the long-running anime.
We found out back at Anime Expo 2024 that the next two Blue Exorcist arcs would run on Crunchyroll in back-to-back cours, with the first one debuting in the Fall 2024 Anime season. Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga is set to come out in October 6, 2024, with Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga airing in January 2025.
The previous arc in the story of Rin and his twin brother Yukio’s quest to kill the demon lord Satan – who just happens to be Rin’s biological father – began airing in January 2024 and covered the Blue Exorcist: Shiname Illuminati Saga. However, there have previously been long gaps between seasons as the manga went on hiatus for over a year. The first season came out in 2011 and it was nearly six years before the next season was released. Then fans had to wait until another eight years before the Shiname Illuminati Saga finally got adapted into anime form.
Knowing that, it is easy to see why fans are so eager to get even more Blue Exorcist anime to watch – we’ve been waiting a very long time to come this far.
Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga will be released in October 6, 2024 and will stream on Crunchyroll.
