After Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston is coming home with a Malcom in the Middle revival, along with Frankie Muniz and Jane Kaczmarek

Contrary to what They Might Be Giants's has told us, sometime life *is* fair. Disney is bringing back Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston back for a Malcolm in the Middle revival alongside Frankie Muniz and Jane Kaczmarek

"Say my name."

"Hal."

"You're goddamn right."

Starting with his award-winning tour de force performanc in Breaking Bad, Bryan Cranston has been elevated to what the upper crust of Hollywood might call a "prestige actor." Not only did he take home a whopping SIX Emmeys for his role as Walter White, he was also nominated for an Academy Award in 2016, for his bipoic Trumbo. Now, Cranston is returning to his sitcom roots. Announced by Deadline on December 13, Cranston will return for a Disney revival of Malcolm in the Middle along with costars Frankie Muniz and Jane Kaczmarek.

It's an exciting comeback for folks who have followed Cranston's career closely, but there's far more notable about the project than just the Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated actor's return. For example, the news comes just a little over a month after Frankie Muniz announced his intention to drive full-time for Reaume Brothers Racing in NASCAR's 2025 season, signaling a move away from the acting career that made him famous.

Further details regarding the revival are scant, though we do know that the project will see the Malcolm characters having aged along with the actors that portray them, with the titular character said to have a wife and daughter at the time of the show, and Cranton's and Kaczmarek's characters to be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary.

Thus far, it's unclear of the rest of Malcolm's family, (played by Christopher Kennedy Masterson, Justin Berfield, Erik Per Sullivan) will also be rejoining the cast, but we can confirm that series creator Linwood Boomer is involved in the project, and will write the revival's episodes. Speaking of which, it appears there will be four of those episodes, and that they will stream exclusively on Disney+.

Beyond that, we're just going to have to wait for more updates to give you any other info on the Malcolm in the Middle revival. But don't you worry - the second we get confirmation that Aaron Paul is involved as well, we'll be flooding your feeds with theories.

Just saying, if the guy can play both a meth-cooking burnout and a man at the forefront of the robot revolution, he could totally be Malcolm's daughter.
