A Buffy the Vampire Slayer experience is coming to Chicago just in time for Halloween this year

Fancy a fight against vampires in a cemetery? You've come to the right place.

Admit it; you’ve wondered how well you’d have fared if you lived in Sunnydale and had to deal with the kind of weird stuff that Buffy and the Scooby Gang did on the regular. Chances are we all would have run screaming in terror at the first mention of the undead, but now we get to find out for sure. At least, if you can get to Chicago to take part in the Buffy: The Slayer Experience.

The immersive entertainment event is being held from September 20 to October 27, 2024 at Whiskey Business in Chicago and offers patrons the chance to become “slayers in training” as they walk through a recreation of Sunnydale High before venturing down into the Hellmouth. After enjoying a Blood Bag cocktail upon arrival, fans can take part in stake-throwing training before they have to fight off a group of vampires in their version of Restfield Cemetery.

Ignoring the potential consequences of combining a welcome cocktail with stake-throwing, this sounds like a really fun night out for fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Tickets start at $22 for general admission, which comes with a welcome blood bag cocktail. For double the price per person, you can have a seat at the Buffy Brunch, which includes a 90-minute reservation at the bar, a main entrée, and all the mimosas you can drink. Again, we question the logic of loading people up with unlimited mimosas before throwing stakes around but maybe that’s why we’re not the Slayer.

The Buffy: The Slayer Experience runs from September 20 to October 27, 2024 in Chicago, because venturing into the Hellmouth (fictional or otherwise) on Halloween is just asking for trouble.
