The Chainsaw Man movie covering the Reze Arc finally gets a Fall 2025 release date while we all wait for season 2 to arrive

Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc hits Japanese cinemas in September 2025, though there hasn't been any word on a US release date.

When Chainsaw Man season one first aired in 2022, it was easily one of the biggest anime hits of the year. With MAPPA’s stunning animation and the head-twisting visuals from Tatsuki Fujimoto’s original manga, Chainsaw Man left us all wanting more. Now we know when the next entry in the series will be as the Chainsaw Man movie covering the Reze Arc gets a release date.

During AnimeJapan 2025, it was revealed that Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc would debut in Japan on September 12, 2025. Though there hasn’t been an international release date confirmed yet, we can expect it to make its way to the US and other territories a few months later, probably by the end of 2025.

The first season of Chainsaw Man ends on a significant cliffhanger, with a brief scene that shows the character Reze. She obviously plays a big role in the next arc in the manga. Without getting into too many spoilers, lets just say that Reze is a blast in the manga and we can't wait to see her on the big screen. Instead of turning this arc into a short season of the anime, MAPPA has instead opted to adapt it into a feature film, hoping to capture some of the hype of the series even though it has been almost three years since it streamed on Crunchyroll.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has a release date of September 12, 2025 in Japan. No international release date has been announced but we assume that Crunchyroll, who streamed the first season of the anime back in 2022, will be handling the film’s release in the US and other territories by the end of the year.
