Daredevil: Born Again starts off with a bang (and a dead body)
This is where we tell you the big thing that happened in the Daredevil: Born Again series premiere if you want spoilers.

It's hard being a person in Matt Murdock's life. Not only is he a jerk sometimes, but you can also even lose your life just for being someone close to him. From Kingpin, to Bullseye, to the Hand, Daredevil has plenty of people who would love to ruin his life. And one villain finally got the chance to derail Matt's future happiness in the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again.
Warning: spoilers for the first episode of Daredevil: Born Again are below.
In the premiere of Daredevil: Born Again, we caught up with Hell's Kitchen's finest, Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page as they hung out at a bar to celebrate Officer Cherry's retirement. However, Matt noticed Foggy leave the bar to answer a phone call from longtime Daredevil ally, Benny (the guy who built Matt's suit and got roughed up by Bullseye in season 3 of the Netflix show, remember?). Benny sounded panicked, so Matt suited up and swung over to Foggy's apartment to check in on Benny - a fatal mistake. As it turns out, Bullseye was keeping an eye on the trio of friends, and was waiting for Matt to leave his friends unattended. Dex took the opportunity to fire a bullet straight through poor Foggy's heart, leaving him to bleed out on the street and die in front of Karen. A freaking bummer, dude!
The rest of the show takes place one year later, with Karen now living in San Francisco while Matt has opened up a swanky new firm with the brilliant Kirsten McDuffie. And even though Matt is doing well both professionally and financially, it's clear he's been left in a cruel, Foggy-less world without his old law school buddy around town.
That said, Daredevil: Born Again executive producer, Brad Winderbaum, confirmed to Phase Hero recently that Foggy will return in season two of Born Again. Winderbaum was mum about what capacity Foggy will be in for season two, but let's all remember that ol' Franklin Nelson faked his own death and hid out in San Francisco with Matt during Mark Waid's run on Daredevil. Nick Fury has faked his own death dozens of times, why can't Foggy?
