There's one big MCU question Charlie Cox won't answer anymore - because when he does, Marvel Studios changes plans
Charlie Cox has opinions on what Marvel should do next - but he's afraid if he says it to fans, it will prevent it from happening
There’s a Marvel question that Charlie Cox won’t answer. It isn’t because he doesn’t know the answer, it’s because he doesn’t want to cause a chain reaction.
During a recent appearance at Indiana Comic Convention 2024, a fan asked Cox what Marvel heroes he wants to see Daredevil team-up with. The actor told the crowd that he doesn’t answer questions like that anymore.
“I stopped answering this question, because every time I say it, it then becomes a news story. Then I worry that the grown-ups at Marvel will be like, “Well, we’re not doing that.’ Do you know what I mean?”
In other words, he doesn’t want his answer to be turned into an article. (We did it anyway…sorry Charlie!)
While Cox wouldn’t directly answer the question, he did reveal that he geeks out when he thinks about potential Daredevil crossovers.
“To be honest, I wasn’t when I started this job because I didn’t grow up reading comics, but I’ve become a fan, and so I get kind of excited. Any kind of crossover gets me excited. The ones in your head…I feel the same way.”
This answer caused the room to erupt with laughter.
The fact that Cox geeks out about hypothetical Daredevil crossovers is awesome. It’s like he’s one of us.
Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Matt Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again, premiering March 2025 on Disney+.
Fear not, we have the essentials when it comes to Marvel's Daredevil. From the best Daredevil stories of all time, to a guide to watching Daredevil, a comprehensive guide to Marvel Studios' Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+, Marvel's Daredevil actors, ranked from Charlie Cox to Ben Affleck and even Rex Smith, how Frank Miller accidentally killed a Daredevil cartoon (and Marvel killed a book to avoid pissing him off), and even that time we caught Daredevil actor Charlie Cox sneaking into New York Comic Con as Bluey.
