Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 will spend more time in Camp Half Blood

We're going back to camp!

Probably the most unique bit of iconography that has come from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians world is the bright orange Camp Half Blood t-shirt. Last year, Popverse's Avery Kaplan wrote about how complicated it was for the costume designers to come up with the perfect shade of orange for the Camp Half Blood actors to sport on the show, but if you have seen the first season of the show (which we recommend you do), you’ll know that just not that much time was spent in Camp Half Blood with the central trio focused on their quest.

This is going to change next season, according to the show’s executive producers at D23’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians panel. And it looks like it's going to be pretty fun, as Jason Mantzoukas joined the panel at that moment and exclaimed in agreement quite boisterously, “I can confirm that we will be going back to Camp Half Blood and there will be even more that happens there. I am so excited to come back as Mr. D!” to the applause of happy fans.

As for when we'll be able to see that second season, it will probably be a while. While the second season is currently in production, it's only been in production for less than a week, and no release date has been announced so far.

Until then, Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 1 is currently streaming on Disney+.
