Stranger Things creators already have their next project - and its with Netflix

Netflix clearly don't want to let the pair go somewhere else to lay their golden eggs.

If there is a downside to creating one of the most popular Netflix shows of all time, it is deciding what to do next. It looks like the Duffer Brothers, the team behind the immensely popular Stranger Things series, at least have that covered. Even as Stranger Things season five remains deep in production, the Duffer Brothers have already announced what they have lined up after. Turns out, Netflix isn’t keen to let the pair get away where there is so much creepy TV to make.

After Stranger Things, the Duffer Brothers will be executive producers for a new horror series on Netflix titled Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen. Aside from being the synopsis for just about every horror series in existence, it will follow a bride and groom in the week leading up to their nuptials. As you can probably judge by the title, things don’t go to plan. Not in a Bridezilla kind of way, but in a “someone is going to die” sort of way.

The series has only just been greenlit by Netflix, so there it is far too early to start speculating about release dates or anything like that. We assume that the Duffer Brothers will have all their focus on getting the final season of Stranger Things ready to bring the story to a close. Considering that Stranger Things season five probably won’t be out until well into 2025, we’ll probably have to wait a very long time to see just how badly the wedding goes in Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen.
