What is the correct way to say Emily in Paris?
There’s a chance you’ve been pronouncing Emily in Paris the wrong way. According to a 2020 tweet from Netflix, the title is supposed to be pronounced in a French accent so that Emily and Paris rhyme. In other words, ‘Paris’ should sound like ‘Paree.’ If you need help, Popverse’s Ashley Victoria Robinson lays it out in this YouTube short.
Is there a season 5 for Emily in Paris?
Yes, there will be a season 5 for Emily in Paris. According a report from Variety, Emily in Paris season 5 will begin filming this spring. Shooting will take place in on location in Rome and Paris, as Emily Cooper will be dividing her time between the two European cities. Season 4 ended with Emily moving to Rome to run the local office of Agence Grateau. The love triangle between Emily, Marcello, and Gabriel is expected to be explored in season 5, since the previous season ended with Gabriel confronting his feelings for Emily.
Netflix has not announced a release date, but judging from their usual production timeline, Emily in Paris season 5 will most likely premiere in early 2026.
Is Emily’s friend really singing in Emily in Paris?
The Emily in Paris season 2 finale features a scene where Emily’s bestie Mindy Chen sings a song called ‘Beautiful Ruins.’ This sequence had many viewers wondering if Mindy’s actress Ashley Park actually sang the song or if it was dubbed from another singer. In fact, the question is one of the most Googled phrases associated with Emily in Paris (seriously).
Yes, it’s actually Ashley Park singing ‘Beautiful Ruins.’ This should come as no surprise since Park has sung numerous songs throughout the series, including ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ and ‘Dynamite.’ Park has a Broadway background and originated the role of Gretchen Wieners for the Broadway version of Mean Girls.
Is Gabriel going to be in season 5 of Emily in Paris?
Gabriel will return in season 5 of Emily in Paris, although there was a time when this wasn’t certain. During a 2024 interview with IndieWire, Gabriel actor Lucas Bravo said he wasn’t a fan of the direction the writers were taking his character in and wasn’t sure if he wanted to return. Bravo’s contract was only for the first 4 seasons, and at the time he wasn’t committed to return.
“In Season 1, there was a lot of me in him. But as they made him kind of unaware of his surroundings, of the dynamic, always victimizing and always being completely lost in translation and oblivious to anything that is happening around him and being manipulated by everyone, it kind of became not fun for me to shoot or to see a character I love so much and brought me so much, being slowly turned into guacamole. I really grew apart from him,” Bravo said.
According to a report from Variety, Bravo has agreed to return as the character for season 5, which begins shooting this spring. Does this mean they’ve addressed his concerns about Gabriel? Time will tell.

Where can I watch Emily in Paris aside from Netflix?
Watching Emily in Paris without a Netflix subscription is difficult, but not impossible. The first season was released on DVD, and it can be purchased from a variety of online retailers, including Amazon. However, the remainder of the series has not been released on physical media. As of this writing, individual episodes are not available to purchase or rent from video-on-demand platforms like Google Play. Believe me, I’ve checked.
