Unhappy with House of the Dragon? So is George R.R. Martin, and he's about to tell you "everything that's gone wrong"
The Fire & Blood author teased that he will one day write an upcoming tell-all post about his troubles with the HBO show. Our question - will it be here before Winds of Winter?

Many, many viewers tuned in to House of the Dragon season 2's finale, and quite a few of them were unhappy with how the season wrapped up. One of those unsatisfied individuals just happened to have a bit more stake in the show than the average audience member; as we've learned from the man himself, Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin is also not thrilled about how the series is turning out. And because he is, after all, a writer, George is planning to put to record some of the reasons why.
The news came via George R.R. Martin's personal blog, in a missive posted August 30. In this blog post, the Fire & Blood author revealed that he's had "a pretty wretched [...] one full of stress, anger, conflict, and defeat." In particular, it seems, some of that defeat came from HBO's latest adaptation of his work.
"I do not look forward to other posts I need to write," says Martin, "about everything that’s gone wrong with HOUSE OF THE DRAGON… but I need to do that too, and I will."
You gotta hand it to him - the man knows how to do intrigue. But just what could Martin be unhappy with? Could it be the pacing? The budget constraints? The truncated version of the Sowing of the Seeds? We'll have to wait for prophesied blog post to find out.
In the meantime, if you're one of the folks like George who is not thrilled about how House of the Dragon is shaping up, let Popverse soothe your aches with some very exciting Fire & Blood stuff that still may be on the way in season 3. We can't guarantee you they'll happen, but we can hope that in learning them you'll be more inclined to read the source material
Which we think Mr. Martin would appreciate.
House of the Dragon season 2 may be over, but Popverse is still in the Westeros spirit, and we've got more Game of Thrones articles than could fit on a spiky chair.
