Acorn TV is the place to stream shows from the British Commonwealth and beyond, and a new show called Inspector Ellis is on the horizon. Starring Sharon D. Clarke as Ellis, the show depicts her and Andrew Gower's Detective Sergeant Harper as they travel to different police stations to take on the toughest cases they have to offer. The show has also been titled simply "Ellis."

Season 1 of Inspector Ellis will consist of 3 episodes, not unlike other British detective shows like Wallander starring Kenneth Branagh and Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch. The first episode of Inspector Ellis will release on Acorn TV on November 4, 2024. Fans of British television will recognize Sharon D. Clarke from Doctor Who, and Andrew Gower from Outlander.

Acorn TV is the home of "cozy mysteries" like Midsomer Murders and Mrs. Sidhu Investigates. It's not presently known if Inspector Ellis will offer the same type of cozy mystery as Midsomer Murders, but amateur sleuths do not have to wait long to find out. It's always good to shake things up and add a sense of danger every now and then.

Inspector Ellis episode 1 will release on November 4, 2024 on Acorn TV.
