We all know that Lynda Carter is Wonder Woman incarnate, and she'll be officially honored in time for the Wonder Woman TV show's 50th anniversary later this spring. A lot has changed since Carter first debuted as Diana of Themyscira in 1975, but she doesn't shine any less brightly as the Princess of Peace.

Variety reported the news that Carter will be given a tribute at the Paley Honors Gala for her work as Wonder Woman and as a philanthropist. The ceremony will take place May 19 in New York City. Carter will be honored alongside "billionaire businessman Joe Tsai; media and sports entrepreneur Crystal McCrary and the ABC News morning program 'Good Morning America,' which also has its 50th anniversary this year.

Post-Wonder Woman, Carter has been an avid supporter of LGBTQIA+ rights and served as the Grand Marshal of Washington, D.C.'s Pride parade in 2013. Two years ago, she stated on the platform formerly known as Twitter that Wonder Woman is a "queer and trans icon."

The world may be a dark place right now, but at least we have people like Lynda Carter who are rightfully getting their laurels.
