The One Piece anime's return, season 2 of the Netflix live action series, and the manga's continued publication: Everything coming from One Piece in 2025

Eiichiro Oda's Luffy is still busy 25 years after the anime's debut. Here is every One Piece project confirmed for 2025 and when to expect them

We can’t get enough One Piece, which is good because there is always more on the horizon. While we’re still waiting for the next theatrical film to be announced, both the anime and the live action Netflix show will be back on our screens by the end of 2025. More than 25 years into his journey, Luffy isn’t slowing down in his quest to become King of the Pirates.

While we know that all these things are coming in 2025, we don’t always know exactly when they’ll be arriving this year. Where we have to speculate a release date, we’ll make it clear below. Here is every One Piece project and series coming in 2025:

  • Ongoing: One Piece Log: Fishman Island Saga
  • Ongoing: One Piece manga
  • April 6: One Piece anime Egghead Island Arc Part 2
  • 2025: Netflix One Piece live action season 2

Curious about what some of these series entail? We got you covered.

While the One Piece anime is on its longest hiatus ever, Toei Animation hasn’t been just sat doing nothing. They’ve been producing One Piece Log: Fishman Island Saga, a remaster of one of the arcs in the original anime that suffered from the series’ intense release schedule. New episodes air every week until the main series returns in April.

While it has been hit by several breaks in the past few months, the One Piece manga continues to be published regularly. New chapters launch (most) weeks, with an official English translation coming from Viz as soon as the chapters arrive in Japan. The current arc has taken the Straw Hats to Elbaph, the land of the giants and possibly the site of one of the biggest battles in the Final Saga of Oda’s epic story.

Upcoming One Piece series: One Piece anime Egghead Island Arc Part 2 (April 8, 2025)

The big news for One Piece fans in 2025 is that the anime will return from its longest hiatus ever on April 6 for the second part of the Egghead Island Arc. This arc represents the start of what Oda has dubbed the Final Saga, though it will probably take the anime several years to reach the climax of Luffy’s story.

Upcoming One Piece series: One Piece season 2 (TBD 2025)

The biggest wildcard in the One Piece release schedule for 2025 is the live action series from Netflix. The second season has been confirmed to be coming sometime this year. We also know that it will run through the emotionally devastating Drum Island Arc from the manga, bringing Tony Tony Chopper along with it. What we don’t know yet is exactly when this year the One Piece live action series will be back. Our guess is a December 2025 release date, but that is just pure speculation on our part.

Debuts: on Netflix

What about the upcoming remake of the One Piece anime announced from Netflix? Unfortunately, we don't have a release date for The One Piece just yet and haven't had any indication it will arrive in 2025. If an announcement comes that changes that, we'll update this page to keep you informed.
