Marvel Studios' Daredevil: Born Again concept art shows how the hero's look is changing from the Netflix era

Here's what we could glean from the quick slideshow presentation

Being at D23 Expo means seeing a lot of sneak peeks that we can't physically share with our readers, which is a bummer. Especially when those sneak peeks are tied to a highly anticipated project like Marvel Television's upcoming Daredevil: Born Again. At the Designing the MCU panel this year, we got to see four pieces of concept art created for the series. While we can't share the actual art here, we can tell you a little about what we saw.

The first image shared was the new redesign of Matt Murdock's Daredevil costume. The design was made by Marvel Studios head of visual development Ryan Meinerding, who also designed the Netflix Daredevil suit. The suit was mostly red, with black detailing, like the Netflix suit, but looked less shiny.

The second image we saw was a row of Daredevil cowls in different colors. The image was muted in color, but from what we could tell, we saw a couple slate grey cowls, a yellow cowl, and a couple red cowls. There seemed to be some damage done to a few of the cowls.

The third image we saw was an action shot of Daredevil with his billy club above the streets of the city. Jackson Sze, the visual development supervisor on the panel, joked that he could not speak to what was happening in the former image with the cowls, and "where [Daredevil's going"] in the third image.

The fourth image featured Kingpin in what looked like a lawyer's (or even mayor's?) office. On the table in front of him was a sandwich and an open book.

As for what is happening in these images, we'll have to wait til the show's scheduled release in March 2025 to see.
