Designing the MCU K.E.V.I.N. AI based on Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige was the "most intimidating assignment" ever says visual development supervisor Jackson Sze
There was a big to do about the hat, apparently

What would it be like to design a character - a parody character - after your boss?
This was a question that Jackson Sze, visual development supervisor at Marvel Studios, had to answer when he was working on She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
At D23's Designing Marvel panel, Sze shared this about his experience. "Gotta say, that is the most intimidating assignment that I personally have gotten, for the team to rise to the challenge of representing Kevin Feige in the MCU. In the script, Jessica Gao, head writer, specified that Kevin's iconic hat has to be represented in the design. There were many ways to go about that. You can put the little hat on a machine," Sze said while showing a slide of a machine literally wearing a regular hat, "or you can try to integrate it," Sze said showing a piece of art that had a machine with a machine-like hat.
Regarding how the technology would look, Sze said, "In the beginning, the sky stage, we tried everything. We tried really advanced, clean technology, but also stuff that looks a little more retro and beat up... No commentary there."
As for the design that the series ended up going with, Sze shared that it was Kevin Feige who had something to say, according to Sze. "It was actually Kevin himself in the visual development meeting that he wanted it really broken down. He once said, 'old, leaking, and busted' - that's his words! So we obliged and came up with the design that is K.E.V.I.N."
She-Hulk Attorney at Law is currently streaming on Disney+ .
