The universe of My Hero Academia is about to get a lot bigger. This year, an anime adaptation of the My Hero Academia spinoff, My Hero Academia; Vigilantes, is set to debut. The story is centered on a kid named Koichi Maimawari who uses his Quirk, the in-universe equivalent of a superpower, to achieve some good ol' vigilante justice. He forms a ragtag band with two other vigilantes, and the group has no idea what they're doing beyond knowing that they're doing their best.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will debut in April of 2025 on Crunchyroll. At this time, no specific release date has been announced for the show. But stay in the loop with us at Popverse, as we'll have all the details once the actual date does get dropped. In the meantime, a trailer for the series has been released, which you can watch below.
The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes manga is composed of 15 volumes and wrapped up in 2022. It was written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court. There's plenty of reading material for you to work through before the series hits Crunchyroll this spring. It's also not the only My Hero Academia spinoff. The other spinoff series are called My Hero Academia: Smash!! and My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions.
Given that the mainline My Hero Academia anime is set to conclude with its 8th season out sometime this year, the release of a spinoff anime presents a promising future for fans who aren't ready to say goodbye to this universe.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes will be released in April of 2025 on Crunchyroll.
